What You Don’t Know About Brats
Brats are a role in BDSM that are often hell-bent on driving you mental. They will push every button you have, just to get a reaction out of you. Lately I’ve seen this regarded as a bad thing, and I’m going to explain why it isn’t.
The first thing people misconstrue is what bratting is. Bratting is NOT acting out to cause distrust or hurt. Bratting is NOT an act of sadism. Bratting is pushing buttons, breaking tiny rules, and irritating someone… To gain their attention. There, I said it. Bratting is an extreme way for someone to gain your attention, and get a reaction from you. Sometimes they just want to know you’re still paying attention and caring for them, so they step out of line to make sure you push them back in. Others crave a masochistic punishment. Both are fine and harmless motives.
In my opinion, bratting is extremely useful to a Dominant. It keeps us on our toes, it let’s us see when we’re maybe not paying enough attention to someone. If you’re of a particularly sadistic nature, bratting gives you an excuse to punish and have that sadistic outlet.
If you have a bratty partner, you know that they require patience to deal with. If you don’t have a bratty partner and think that they are pure chaos and not worth looking at, you are so wrong. If someone will put that much effort into driving you up a wall, just imagine what they’ll do for you when they’re happy with you.
